Nags Head Woods Ecological Preserve located at Nags Head Kill Devil Hills is a 1,400 acre maritime forest with over five miles of hiking trails and a visitor's information center. Visitors to the preserve can explore Nags Head Woods on one of six different hiking trails that vary in length and difficulty. |

Jockey’s Ridge rising all of 110 feet is the tallest, natural, active sand dune system. This important sight got declared a National Natural Landmark. Jockey Ridge State Park may have you enjoying nature trails and the interpretive museum for the natural and cultural history of the site.
Jennette’s Fishing Pier is the oldest fishing pier on the Outer Banks providing great fishing experience to anglers. An exhibit called ''Giants of the Sea,'' showcases state-record trophy fish mounts and five aquariums with indigenous fish species on display. |
